A wave of complaints on X has accused the online casino Legendz.io of using its “Know Your Customer” (KYC) identity-verification process as a pretext to freeze accounts and withhold player winnings – including a case involving as little as $25.
The Account that Started the Thread
The complaints were compiled in a thread by X user @onyxwontstop, who says they tried to withdraw a small $25 balance from Legendz and were instead pulled into a weeks-long back-and-forth with support before the account was permanently banned.

According to the poster’s account of events, laid out over several posts and screenshots of live-chat and email exchanges with Legendz support:
- Support initially told them they needed to wager their deposit 1x and deactivate any active bonuses before withdrawing. They say they did this, then tried to withdraw again and were denied.
- A later withdrawal attempt was met with a message saying the request had gone “pending” and would need up to 48 hours for a department review.
- After logging back in, the account suddenly required identity verification (KYC) – again, for a $25 balance. Support attributed the delay in reviewing the documents to the verification team being “in a different time zone.”
- The next morning, the account was blocked outright, with a login screen reading “Your account has been blocked, please contact support.”
- Support then told the user their submitted ID document was considered “fake.” A support agent named “Jayden” cited “clause 4.19” of the site’s terms, stated all associated accounts were permanently closed, and said the $25 was forfeited as a result of the alleged breach – adding that “this decision is final and can’t be reversed.”
To push back on the “fake document” claim, the poster shared a screenshot from a verified account on Stake.com showing the same identification document had passed verification there, arguing this showed the document was authentic.
Other Users Report Similar Experiences
The thread drew replies from other X users describing comparable situations:
- One user (@DaveWAGMI) said they were given a bonus with a 6x wagering requirement, won $327, and were banned shortly after – an account they suggested was tied to the platform not expecting the bonus terms to be cleared.
- Another user (@mxylegend) said their account was banned while holding a $70 balance.
- A separate exchange referenced a user who reportedly lost a five-figure sum and faced the “same withdrawal issue.”
- One reply (@romedrone) claimed Legendz “were at first a legit sweepstakes site available in the US” before expanding internationally, alleging the site had “went rogue scamming for $25,” and suggested affected users leave reviews on the U.S.-facing Trustpilot page under the “Legendz.com” listing to warn other players.

- Trustpilot reviews for Legendz include complaints of redemptions stuck in processing for hours despite the account being fully verified.
