Pragmatic Play announced this week that comedian and actor Kevin Hart will host live casino games across four sessions on November 6 and 7, stepping onto the studio floor to deal some of the supplier’s most popular titles. The specific games he’ll host are being kept secret until each day of the event, and Pragmatic Play is planning promotional campaigns including free chips and random cash drops during Hart’s sessions.

The Pragmatic Play Pitch

Pragmatic Play is framing the Hart collaboration as premium entertainment. The promotional video shows Hart on a colorful game-show set of Mega Wheel, holding a King of Spades and Ace of Hearts, delivering lines about being the face of the brand’s live casino games.

The company’s press release described it as a partnership designed to blur the lines between live casino gaming and mainstream entertainment. Hart will bring what they called his “high-octane humour” to the tables across four sessions, with the exact games revealed on the day – though judging by the promotional video, players can expect to see him dealing blackjack, spinning roulette, and hosting game shows.

Hart himself was quoted saying he jumped at the opportunity when it came up. Pragmatic Play’s leadership positioned it as a way to create a memorable entertainment experience for operators and their players.

Duel Did It First

Anyone who has followed crypto casino Duel over the past year already knows the playbook. Duel, the cryptocurrency-focused platform founded by Ossi “Monarch” Ketola, has spent 2026 turning its live blackjack table into a rotating stage for celebrity guest dealers.

Mike Tyson dealt cards and lost $20,000 of his own money in the process. Lil Pump took a dealer shift that devolved into chaos: champagne poured over an elderly dealer, players told to pawn their belongings, and virtually no actual blackjack played. Adult film star Bonnie Blue dealt topless. Mia Malkova turned a blackjack shoe into an audience-participation segment that went viral when a dealer was caught on camera sniffing her chair after she stood up. Most recently, looksmaxxing streamer Clavicular sat behind the table and spent most of his session threatening another character, applying lipstick mid-deal, and making comments about players’ bet sizes rather than running the game.

Different Scale, Same Idea

The core concept is identical: put a celebrity behind a live casino table, generate attention, drive engagement. Where they diverge is in execution and positioning. Duel’s sessions are deliberately unfiltered – the appeal is chaos, the clips are raw, and the platform leans into the fact that almost no real gambling happens during the celebrity appearances. Pragmatic Play, by contrast, is a B2B supplier licensed by the MGA and GCGB, working within a regulated framework and marketing the event through operator partners.

The budget gap is also obvious. Duel books streamers and internet personalities; Pragmatic Play booked one of the highest-grossing comedians in entertainment history.

Whether the November event delivers something genuinely different from what Duel has been running all year – or just a polished, regulation-compliant version of the same thing – remains to be seen. But the trajectory is clear: live casino is no longer just about the cards on the felt. It’s about who’s dealing them.
