Hacksaw Gaming is sending its favourite fisherman somewhere colder this time. Marlin Masters: Frozen Frenzy swaps the tropical islands for an ice fishing trip, and it’s set to launch on 17th November 2026.
Frozen Frenzy runs on a 5×3 grid with payline wins. It sits at 3 out of 5 on the volatility scale, so it’s not the wildest ride out there, and it caps out at a 5,000x max win. That’s noticeably lower than the 10,000x you’d get in Marlin Masters: The Big Haul or Marlin Masters: Atlantis, so don’t go in expecting the same explosive ceiling.

The name says it all. You’re bundling up and heading out onto the ice this time, and the visuals lean fully into that frozen, frosty look. It’s a nice change of scenery from the sunny, turquoise waters of the earlier games in the series.
We’ll swap this for the actual playable Marlin Masters: Frozen Frenzy demo as soon as it goes live.
Lootlines and Ice Marlins
The core mechanic will feel familiar if you’ve played any of the previous Marlin Masters games. Marlins are loot symbols carrying cash values, and Collectors sweep them up to hand you their total value, sometimes with a multiplier attached.
The new twist is the Ice Marlins. These sit above the grid rather than on it, and they carry higher values than regular Marlins. You can’t grab them with a normal Collector though. You need a special Ice-breaker Collector to bring them in, and those come with their own multipliers too.
Bonus Games
Frozen Frenzy brings two brand new bonus games, both with a frozen twist on the formula, plus a Hidden Epic Bonus you’ll need a bit of luck to stumble into. We don’t have the full details yet, but based on how the earlier games worked, expect free spins and progressive multiplier upgrades to be part of the mix.
How It Fits into the Marlin Masters Series
This is now the fourth game in the series. It started with Marlin Masters back in February 2025, followed by Marlin Masters: The Big Haul in August 2025, and then Marlin Masters: Atlantis in April 2026, which added jackpots and a Kraken respin feature. Each one has kept the same Lootline and Collector engine while dressing it up differently and shuffling the bonus structure around. Frozen Frenzy looks set to continue that pattern, just with snow instead of sand this time.
Our Take So Far
The lower 5,000x max win might put off players chasing the biggest hits, but the mid volatility and the new Ice-breaker Collector mechanic could make for a steadier, more frequent-feeling game than its predecessors. We’ll have a full verdict once we’ve actually spun the reels ourselves.
