Le Bandit Hold & Win is a spin-off of Hacksaw’s popular Le Bandit, bringing back Smokey the thieving cartoon raccoon in a new format, and it’s landing on September 15, 2026. This time it’s a three-reel, three-row Hold & Win game rather than the cluster-paying original, so if you enjoyed the first Le Bandit and its coin-collecting features, this is a fresh take on the same world. It’s medium volatility with a 2,500x max win.
The compact grid is worth flagging up front. The original ran on a big 6×5 grid, so dropping down to a 3×3 layout gives this version a more classic, stripped-back feel while keeping the coin-collecting spirit that made Le Bandit tick.

How It Works
The heart of the game is Coins and Jackpot Markers. Land three or more of them (in any combination) and, once the round ends, their values are added together and multiplied by your bet to determine your win. Coins come in three tiers – Bronze (0.2x–2x), Silver (3x–9x), and Gold (10x–50x) – so you’re collecting cash symbols and totting up what they’re worth, which will feel familiar to anyone who played the Golden Squares and Coin values in the original.
The Jackpot Markers are the ones you really want to see. When a Jackpot Marker lands as part of a win, it awards one of four fixed Jackpot prizes: Mini (5x), Major (25x), Mega (250x), and Grand – which pays the full 2,500x max win. So a lucky Jackpot Marker really can send you straight to the top payout.
Two other symbols add a layer on top of the coin count. Clover symbols act as multipliers (from x2 up to x20), boosting the value of all Coins in play once the round ends. Pot of Gold symbols work as a kind of collector – when one lands, it locks in the current value of all Coins on the grid before Jackpot Markers are revealed.

Bonus Games
There are two Hold & Win bonus games, both triggered by landing a scatter symbol during the base game and giving you 3 lives (free spins) to work with:
- Rainbow Fortune Hold & Win – triggered by one Rainbow scatter. Only Coin, Jackpot Marker, Pot of Gold, and Clover symbols (plus non-paying Dead symbols) can land, and every landed symbol sticks and refills your lives back to 3.
- Rainbow Epic Drop™ Hold & Win – triggered by one Epic Rainbow scatter. Same core mechanics as Rainbow Fortune, but you start with a full grid of Coin, Jackpot Marker, Pot of Gold, and Clover symbols guaranteed from the off (with at least one Coin and one Pot of Gold included), and every Coin that lands is worth at least 1x.
Verdict
Le Bandit Hold & Win looks like a fun, more approachable companion to the original. Smokey’s cartoon-rogue charm carries over, the compact 3×3 layout gives it a classic feel, and the tiered Jackpot Markers add a clear route to the max win, with two bonus games for variety. The base RTP sits at 96.27%.
If you enjoyed the first Le Bandit, or you just like Hold & Win slots with a bit of personality, this is worth a spin. But temper your expectations on the top end. That 2,500x cap is a quarter of what the original offered, so max-win chasers will find it limiting.
