Pragmatic Play stages a clash of Egyptian deities in Ra vs Osiris, releasing September 3, 2026. Rather than a single fixed experience, the game’s central conceit is a rivalry you get to pick a side in: before you play, you choose between the Kingdom of Ra and the Kingdom of Osiris – a decision that reskins the entire game and changes its maths. It’s a bold, feature-dense Egyptian slot that layers expanding multiplier wilds, walking wilds, a gamble-driven free spins round, special bets and buy options on top of that core choice.

Ra vs Osiris Demo

Try Ra vs Osiris for free before you play for real. The demo runs the full game – both the Kingdom of Ra and Kingdom of Osiris volatility profiles, the expanding multiplier wilds, the walking-wild free spins and the gamble feature – with no download, no sign-up and no deposit required.

Basics

Ra vs Osiris is a 5-reel, 15-payline slot paying left to right from the leftmost reel. Stakes run from 0.10 to 250 in normal play, and the max win is a substantial 25,000x, achievable in both the base game and free spins. RTP sits around 96.5% across configurations (96.53% in Ra mode, 96.54% in Osiris mode at the standard bet), with operator-selectable lower builds also available – so, as ever with Pragmatic, check which version you’re on.

The defining choice is volatility. Pick the Kingdom of Ra and you’re playing the high-volatility profile, where free spins trigger more often but pay a lower average. Pick the Kingdom of Osiris and you get the very-high-volatility profile, where the feature is rarer but the average free-spins win is bigger. The theme shifts to match – fiery reds for Ra, toxic greens for Osiris.

The paytable is shared across both profiles (only the artwork changes): Ra/Osiris top premiums pay up to 20x for five, down through lioness/Anubis, Horus/Sobek, cobra/snake and scarab/scorpion mid-pays, with 10-A royals as lows. A standard Wild pays up to 20x itself and substitutes for everything except the scatter.

Expanding Wilds and Adding Multipliers

The engine room is the Expanding Wild with Multiplier, present on all reels in both the base game and free spins. Whenever one lands and would create a win after expanding, it fills its entire reel vertically and takes a random multiplier drawn from a long ladder running 2x, 3x, 4x… all the way up to a huge 1000x. The crucial detail – and the source of the game’s big-win ceiling – is that when more than one wild forms part of the same winning combination, their multipliers add together. Line up a couple of high-value expanding wilds on the same win and the multiplier math escalates fast.

Free Spins: Walking Wilds and Gamble

Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters triggers the free spins round, awarding 6 free spins with a guaranteed minimum wild multiplier of 2x, 4x or 8x respectively. Before the round begins, you can gamble to bump that minimum multiplier up the ladder – a wheel lands on win (step up to the next value) or lose (forfeit the free spins entirely), and you can keep pushing up to a 100x minimum.

Once the round starts, every expanding wild also becomes a Walking Wild: it expands, locks in its random multiplier, then shifts one reel to the left on each respin – keeping that multiplier – until it exits past reel 1, with respins continuing until all walking wilds have left the screen. Hitting 3/4/5 scatters again retriggers the feature for +6 spins and pushes the minimum multiplier 1, 2 or 3 further positions up the ladder; once the minimum hits 1000x, further retriggers simply add spins. It’s a well-constructed feature with real snowball potential.

Special Bets and Feature Buys

For players who want to force the action, Ra vs Osiris is generous with options – each tuned separately for the two profiles. Three Super Spin special bets (from 20x up to 1000x in Ra mode, and 40x up to 2000x in Osiris mode) guarantee an expanding wild every spin, with the pricier tiers guaranteeing higher minimum multipliers (x8, then x100). Separately, the Buy Feature offers direct entry to Free Spins or Super Free Spins – 100x/250x in Ra mode, 200x/500x in Osiris mode – with the Super versions guaranteeing an 8x minimum wild multiplier throughout. Across all these, RTP stays clustered around 96.5%.

Verdict

Ra vs Osiris is one of Pragmatic Play’s more ambitious Egyptian outings, and the choose-your-god / choose-your-volatility framing gives it a genuine identity beyond the crowded pharaoh field. Mechanically it’s rich without being messy: expanding wilds with adding multipliers drive the base game, walking wilds and the pre-round gamble give the free spins real escalation and player agency, and the twin special-bet and buy menus offer plenty of ways to engage. The 25,000x ceiling and high-to-very-high volatility make it a proper chase title – the flip side being that, as the maths make clear, the top end is rare and the base game can run cold, especially in Osiris mode. For players who enjoy high-variance slots and like having a hand on the risk dial, it’s a strong, well-built entry. Those after gentler, steadier play should pick their kingdom carefully – or look elsewhere.
