Thousands of 500 Casino players are logging in to find money in their accounts that they did not deposit or win today. The credits are real, they are theirs to keep, and they are compensation for a payout error in the casino’s Towers and HiLo games.
On 30 October 2026, 500 Casino began crediting a total of $1,741,242 to more than 35,800 players. The casino says Towers and HiLo paid out less than advertised for years. Each affected player is getting the full shortfall back, plus 10% on top.
Players do not need to claim anything. The money goes straight to the balance they originally played with. Anyone who played on a currency the casino no longer supports (EOS, Jeton, PEPE, UPI or AstroPay) will find the credit in their BUX balance instead.
For most people the surprise will be small. Half of affected players receive less than $1.60. A small group of high-stakes players accounts for most of the total.
Where the Money Comes From
The credits fix a math error in how two games calculated wins. 500 Casino advertises a 5% house edge on Towers and a 1% house edge on HiLo, taken once per game. Instead, the code took the edge again on every row climbed in Towers and every correct guess in HiLo.
The further a player went, the more the gap grew. A Towers win at row 10 carried an effective edge of up to 40%, according to the casino. HiLo’s gap grew more slowly because its edge is only 1%.
The account @provablyfairorg flagged the problem on 29 October 2026. 500 Casino confirmed the report, thanked the group publicly, and released a fix for both games the next day.
“They were right, and we thank them for it,” the casino said in its announcement.
Who Gets a Credit, and How to Check It
A player qualifies if they had at least one affected win. That means cashing out a Towers game at row 2 or higher, or a HiLo game after two or more correct guesses.
| Game | Affected since | Who is owed |
|---|---|---|
| Towers | September 2023 | Wins cashed out at row 2 or higher |
| HiLo | July 2026 | Wins after 2 or more correct guesses |
Players who only lost, or who always cashed out at row 1 or after one guess, get nothing. Those bets paid the correct amount.
To see where a credit came from, open your profile and go to your Towers or HiLo game history. A new Compensation column shows the payment for each affected win. Hovering over the amount splits it into the shortfall and the 10% bonus.

Players can also work out the amount themselves. For Towers, divide what the game paid by 0.95 raised to (row − 1). For HiLo, divide by 0.99 raised to (guesses − 1). The difference, plus 10%, is the credit.
The casino’s worked example: a $1 bet on Towers Medium, cashed out at row 3, paid $6.86. It should have paid $6.86 ÷ 0.95² = $7.60. The $0.74 shortfall plus 10% comes to a $0.81 credit. One-cent differences come from rounding.
If an amount looks wrong, 500 Casino asks players to contact support with their username.
How Big the Payout Is
The casino says it owes $1,583,101 and is adding $158,141 as the 10% bonus. It reviewed every Towers and HiLo win since each game launched.
That is well below the $3.5 million to $21.6 million estimated by @provablyfairorg. The casino calls that range a fair attempt, but says it had to guess how far players climbed. Its own bet history shows most players cashed out early: 86% of affected Towers wins came at rows 2 to 4. Row-10 wins, where the gap was largest, were under 1% of the total.
Games Were Still Fair
500 Casino stresses that game results were never affected. Bomb positions and cards came from the same provably fair system as always, and every past game still verifies. Losing bets, all other games (including Mines and Dice), and first-step wins were also untouched.
The error sat in the payout table, which is a separate step from picking results. The casino says its provably fair checks and RNG certificate test randomness, not payout amounts, so they missed it.
“We advertised the edge, so we should have checked it,” it said.
What Changes
Since 30 October 2026, Towers returns 95% on average at every row, and HiLo 99% after any number of guesses. The casino says it tested the new payouts on 20 million simulated games.
Top-row Towers wins are now bigger, so maximum bets are lower: $3,651 on Easy, $206 on Medium and $3.56 on Hard. The highest possible win is unchanged. Release tests are also being extended to check returns at every row and guess, not just the first.
