3 Magic Piggy Banks Hold & Win is a five-reel, three-row slot built around, you guessed it, three piggy banks. Each one triggers a different bonus mechanic, and charging them up is where all the action happens.

The game runs on 17 fixed paylines with medium volatility, and a max win of 2,500x your bet, achievable in any mode – base game, bonus buy, or free spins. RTP sits at 96.3%, calculated from a simulation of 10 billion rounds. Stakes run from $/€0.05 up to $/€400 a spin, so it’s accessible across most bankrolls.

How the Piggy Banks Work

The whole game runs on Lucky Hammer symbols. Land a coloured hammer and it charges the piggy bank of the matching colour. Only one hammer of each colour can land per spin, and once a bank is fully charged there’s a chance it activates at the end of the spin, after wins are paid out. Only one Piggy Bank can activate per spin, so even with all three charged, you’re getting one feature at a time.

Pink Piggy Bank – Magic Wild Respin. Triggers a respin where regular paying symbols, Wilds, and Wild Multipliers can land. Wilds substitute for everything in the paytable. Multiplier symbols apply their value to any winning combination they’re part of, and if more than one lands in the same combo, the values are added together first. Wild Multipliers can be 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x, or 100x.

Gold Piggy Bank – Magic Coins Bonus. This is the classic Hold & Win mechanic. You get 3 lives, equal to 3 free spins, and Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond coin symbols can land and stick to the grid until the sequence ends. Every coin pays a cash prize as a multiple of your bet:

  • Bronze: 0.2x, 0.4x, 1x
  • Silver: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x
  • Gold: 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x
  • Diamond: 50x, 100x, 150x, 200x, 250x, 500x, 1000x

Landing any coin refills your lives back to 3, so a hot streak keeps the feature alive. It ends once your lives run out or the grid has no space left. Dead symbols can also land here – they’re non-paying with no other effect.

Purple Piggy Bank – Magic FS Respin. Only Dead and FS symbols can land during this respin. Land 7 FS symbols and you trigger the Swindle and Swine bonus. Land 6 FS symbols plus 1 FS Upgrade symbol and you get the Epig Heist bonus instead. Each FS or FS Upgrade symbol that lands is worth one free spin in the resulting bonus.

Bonus Games

Swindle and Swine launches with 7-15 free spins and keeps the base game’s mechanics running throughout. Once a 3rd Lucky Hammer of the same colour lands, that colour’s Piggy Bank is guaranteed to activate. During the bonus, a triggered Magic Coins sequence only costs one free spin from your total, and landing more FS symbols during the Magic FS Respin adds 2-10 extra spins. Land an FS Upgrade symbol here and the bonus upgrades into Epig Heist, carrying over your remaining and newly-awarded spins.

Epig Heist also starts with 7-15 free spins and runs the same core mechanics, but here any Lucky Hammer symbol that lands activates its matching Piggy Bank on that same spin – no charging required. As with Swindle and Swine, a triggered Magic Coins sequence counts as just one free spin, and extra FS symbols during the Magic FS Respin add another 2-10 spins.

Symbols and Paytable

Card symbols (10, J, Q, K, A) are the low end, paying between 0.2x and 1.2x your bet for three-of-a-kind up to five. Fruit symbols (cherries, lemon, plum) pay a bit more, up to 4x for five-of-a-kind, while the horseshoe and diamond top out the regular paytable at 8x for five. The Wild symbol also pays 8x for five-in-a-row on top of its substitution duties. Wilds and Wild Multipliers only appear during the Magic Wild Respin; coins only appear during the Magic Coins Bonus; and FS symbols only appear during the Magic FS Respin – so you won’t see any of these on a normal base-game spin.

Bonus Buy

There’s a Buy Bonus option alongside a FeatureSpins-purchase option, which guarantees certain features on every spin for a set cost until you switch it off:

  • Magic FS FeatureSpins – costs 3x your bet per spin, raises the odds of a Purple Hammer landing, and makes triggering the Magic FS Respin roughly 5 times more likely. RTP: 96.28%
  • Piggy Bank FeatureSpins – costs 40x per spin, guarantees all three Lucky Hammers land and a Piggy Bank triggers. RTP: 96.32%
  • Swindle and Swine direct buy – 90x your bet. RTP: 96.32%
  • Epig Heist direct buy – 200x your bet. RTP: 96.32%

Max Win

The ceiling is 2,500x your bet, reachable in any mode of the game. Hit it and the round ends immediately – winnings are paid out on the spot, and if it happens mid-bonus, any remaining free spins or features are discarded.

Verdict

3 Magic Piggy Banks Hold & Win is a feature-dense take on the Hold & Win format, with three distinct piggy-bank mechanics feeding into two named bonus games rather than a single flat free spins round. The guaranteed-activation twist in Swindle and Swine and the instant-activation angle in Epig Heist give the bonuses real personality. At 96.3% RTP and a 2,500x cap, it’s not chasing the biggest jackpots in Hacksaw’s catalogue, but there’s a genuine variety of ways to trigger and stack features for a game at this level.

7/10. Fun mechanic, plenty going on, sensible RTP – just don’t expect anything you haven’t seen before from the studio.
